Urge legislators to balance the FY 2011 state budget by adopting a comprehensive long-term budget solution.

Urge the legislature to adopt a budget for the 2011 fiscal year before April 30 so that funding for important priority areas like colleges and universities will not be jeopardized.

 

Bring State Corrections Spending Under Control.

Urge legislators to pass a budget that reduces Michigan’s annual per prisoner incarceration cost to the average for surrounding states, currently $25,000.
