How Your Community Can Support the Plan

There are several ways an individual can help encourage the community they live in to advance the Michigan Turnaround Plan.

1. Share the Plan and video available on this site with groups you belong to so they can understand the vision.

2. Ask groups you belong to and local chambers and economic development organizations to convene meetings to discuss how they can help the state address Steps 1-5 of the Plan and which assets make sense for your community to focus on that are outlined in Step 6 of the Plan.

3. Develop a community or regional economic strategy, if you don’t have one, that aligns with the Plan.

4. Consider how your community can partner with others in the area to support regional strategies that advance the Plan.

5. Consider how your region can partner with other regions around you to support super-regional strategies that advance the Plan.
